HRH Prince Edward Duke of Kent and Strathearn was the 5th child of George III and the father of Queen Victoria. He came to Canada for the Constitutional Act of 1791 and lived in Quebec and then Halifax to 1798. He was an early supporter of Canada and is called the ‘father of the Canadian crown’
