Ever since their inception in 1809, International Floral Festivals have been a yearly feast for the eyes and a challenge for ornamental horticultualists to display their creativity in this delicate field of expertise.
These exhibitions are traditionally held in the spring, in time for visitors to discover and select the cultivated plants that will best decorate their homes and gardens.
Québec City was host to Québec en Fleurs, the 1997 International show, and only the third time in 187 years that such an event was held in North America.
