Vancouver Numismatic Society Money Show 2007 |

The Vancouver Numismatic Society held their annual two day Money Show, on March 31st and April 1st, 2007, at the Oakridge Mall Auditorium, in central Vancouver, B.C. Admission was free as were sample coins for new collectors. There was an RCMP counterfeit money detection educational display at the show entrance. Local dealers Lynn Balmer, and Michael Walsh had the stands closest to the door. Balmer always has a professional setup, and Walsh was busy accepting and showing consignments for his next auction. |

| The show auction, by C&P Numismatics, was held Saturday evening and went on into the wee hours. Equally popular was a show dinner at a local Chinese restaurant. Members of the U.B.C. Coin and Stamp Club also attended the soiree.
New Brunswick dealer Don Olmstead had a booth displaying banknotes for sale. It was great to see Milt Blackburn back to work on the dealer side of his table. The irrepressible Norm Cunningham livened up the showroom as he always does. |

| Paper Money remains popular as boothholders Al Tebworth, Bob Gildert, and Ron, and Jim, Richardson can attest. Collectors came from as far away as New York in search of notes for their Canada and World Collections.
Calgary Dealer Robert Kokotailo was pleased with the Sestertii collection he bought at the show. John and Glenda Cheramy had a good crowd viewing their postcards. My wife and daughter each bought some. Postcards make great gifts, like many collectibles. Bill Foot had a good Saturday as he seemed to be the only dealer there offering stamps as well. |

 The crowds were typically thinner Sunday so everyone had a good visit.
Much dealer to dealer business was done then. I found a coin I needed to fill a want list and bought a few nice coins for All Nations. My family could not help but notice what a friendly group of dealers and collectors attended the Vancouver Numismatic Society Money Show 2007. |
