 We are now in the twelvth and final yar of the Royal Canadian Munt's $15 Gold Cameo Lunar coin series, with Year of the Rat coin just released.
For those of you who had the foresight to pre-order the set, you also had the opportunity to order this case, desigbed to hold all twelve coins.
If you did not order the case, they are long ago sold out and are currently selling on eBay for as high as $350 US.
The case is in red velvet trimmed in a gold finish with the Royal Canadian Mint logo embossed on the cover. Inside is a plush red finish with spaces for all 12 cameo Lunar New Year $15 coins.
At the centre is a specially struck Sterling Silver medallion that cannot be purchased seperately. It bears the logo of the Royal Canadian Mint, surrounded by all twelve animals of the Zodiac along with the Chinese character of each animal.
A very rare item.
